We will mostly teach in what top mixers make their hits in: Pro Tools. But there will be videos in Logic and Ableton, too– and plenty of room for questions in the private community!

What styles will you focus on?

You can use our techniques in Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, House, Alternative/Indie, Rock, Funk, Contemporary Country, Modern Folk, and Contemporary Soul.

What you learn here will translate to other genres too, but we don’t typically work in genres like classic country/folk & classical.

MixHaus might NOT be the most empowering place for you if…

  • You need basic 101 training in your DAW. This program is great for beginner to advanced, you do just need to know your way around music production software.

  • You're still trying to grasp the basics, like: eq & compression, time based effects, knowledge of various instruments or vocals, creating midi tracks, and using software instruments.

  • You prefer one-on-one coaching. We specifically work in a group setting to empower you to be strong on your own. Plus, we see significantly greater results in groups– in a fraction of the time.

  • You are exclusively interested in working on your own music.

  • You're looking to be an "overnight success." Our program is leveraged for fast tracked results compared to other models online, however making records requires creativity, risk, discernment, and a lot of work over time.

  • You get mad when an artist doesn't release a project you've worked on. It's definitely sad when that happens, however in the big leagues it does happen... and in MixHaus we support whatever decision the artist makes on their journey.

    MixHaus provides members with the unique opportunity to mix on real tracks that the artist wants to release. All instruction is practical and based on the song that you have on your plate. At the end of a mix session, submit your mix to shoot your shot with the artist. You never know, they could choose your mix for release!

  • Remix opportunity is brand new in MixHaus (as of 9.04.2023), and we're still exploring the nuances. So far almost every artist we've asked to listen to remixes from our producers has said yes, and the incredible artists we have already presented remixes to have been blown away.

    The early days of any opportunity can be the most exciting, and most lucrative for early adopters. If you're a producer... this could be your chance!!

  • All MixHaus members will benefit from the opportunity to gain professional experience by mixing & producing for real artists. You'll also receive mentorship along the way, meet the artists, and expand your network within the music industry. Practicing on cutting edge productions, with emerging artists will give you a keen ability to produce & mix to a pro level in today's music scene. Having expert guidance on how to get to radio quality mixes, in this current world of music production, is rare because not many old school masters are integrating into the young, up-and-coming pros.

  • The artists that members work with will change on a monthly basis, and will be announced before the first Sunday of every month. The genres will also vary, so you'll have the opportunity to mix many different styles (just like the pros). Want something specific? Let us know!

    If your mix is chosen, fantastic! Here's what to expect...

    We'll introduce you to the artist directly to complete final mix changes on your own. From there, it's time to wait for release... and this is where your pro mindset training kicks into high gear.

    Artist release schedules are outside of the control of MixHaus. Sometimes mixes are released in two weeks, sometimes two years, sometimes artists decide to shelve a song after it's mixed. Just like real life.

    Welcome to the big leagues, and good thing is... you have great support and another shot around the corner!

  • You can commit as much or as little time as you'd like. You'll have four weeks to mix and submit a song for artists' review, however no mix submissions are required. Attendance at MixHaus Live is encouraged, however not required. You can always watch back on everything in your members site.

  • Yes!   • As anyone who works in the real world of music production has experienced, this is not a simple question to answer. We are dealing with art, after all.

    That being said, typically we see artists releasing tracks within a month to a year after our session in MixHaus. If you don't hear back from the artist who chose your mix, you can reach out to us at hello@newmusic.engineering for support. No artist is obliged to choose a mix, or release it...though the majority do choose a top mix with an intention to release.
